As a supplier of athletic field products since 1988, we have never seen more attention put to athletic fields. Unfortunately, the majority of the attention has been given to not having enough of them, the inadequacy of existing fields, or the fact that 3 out of 4 new fields fail due to poor installation and/or materials. The basic understanding of soils, athletic field design, installation, and/or maintenance somehow gets lost in the shuffle and with the raised benchmark of expecation, now more than ever we need to have that understanding in place.
As a company, S&S is highly specialized utilizing the knowledge gained from years of education seminars, associateding with athletic field specialists from Penn State, Iowa State, STMA, and KAFMO, and through the exposure and experience of over one thousand fields throughout PA, OH, and WV.
